stormy night
We had a bad storm overnight. The doors and windows rattled and the rain fell in torrents against the windows. Lightning flashed and thunder clapped. It kept me awake. I kept going from room to room to check on the kids. They slept through the storm, like it didn't matter. Had a walk outside in the morning at prayer time, things look ok. Lot of leaves and petals scattered across the garden. Insha Allah Khair - let us hope everyone is ok.
Returned last evening from in-laws place. Preparations for a get-together next week to be held there on Sunday, May 17. Met a dear friend who is an author, mentor to students, online-tutor, and genius. Married to a Syrian Christian from Kerala. He used to be based at KodaiKanal - now moved back for a bit to be with parents. He spent his childhood in Argentina, where his father worked as an interpreter with the Embassy of India. Father became an IFS later, JNU pass-out from the 1970's. Like me, an Argentina supporter. This guy speaks fluent Spanish. Always an education meeting him.
Nothing much today. Usual, usual.
