Life, and all that is in it.

The kaviratnes are an interesting couple. The husband is Sinhalese, the wife is gujarati. He has worked in MNCs all his life and twenty years ago they donated 60lacs to start a pediatric hospice at bdd chawls for out station patients coming to TMH. Today it spans ten centres across India and several around TMH and Actrec. We went to the Actrec one today to play for them, as we were honoured to be invited them for a small gig. It was the Most uplifting and beautiful experience. I can't believe how enthusiastic the kids were, and how loving their parents were. These couples are so far away from home, with a sick child, with the other children left behind in the village. Some of the dad's were crying when we played "kaise mujhe tu hai mili" and "kal ho na ho". Antu asked me the strangest question at dinner: would you rather be poor and sick, but get to stay in a beautiful place like that. Or would you rather be poor and healthy but living in a horrible slum?

I told him health is gold. Nothing compares to that. Everyone one of those kids was in constant pain. Some had been enucleated, all were on chemo, chubby, Cushingoid. But what a spark!!

God has blessed me infinitely. I can't thank Him enough. These experiences just fill my soul so much, such that I'm drowning in His love.

I missed my lesson in philosophy today. I missed sending you an episode today. Went for a dear family friend's granddaughter's birth lunch to Thakkars bhojnalaya. Off to lala land now.

How was your day?

One day you will tell me the #kashmir story, that occupies your heart the most.
