Just heading home from an emergency at bhatia. 6 year old boy with a VP shunt was decerebrating. Gave ga, intubated and they found the shunt had gotten blocked proximally. As soon as they clipped that part off, closed, he opened his eyes, breathed beautifully, and I could extubate him. What a feeling. I kissed him. Such a sweetie.
He had a medulloblastoma two years ago, which biyani sir had operated on. Biyani sir is a very very fine man. At that time his mom was 8 months preggers with his baby brother. She went into labour the day he got discharged! Sweet maharashtrian lower middle class family.
