Reached Hanoi. Last city in vietnam. Day 5 vietnam post was a quick retrospective.
You have finished a long day, you have reached your room. Enough general surgery for today, enough teaching residents, enough chai...you are missing Kashmiri tea. Your beard has grown unwieldy. You imagine the nice shave and hot bath you will have when you get home. You pass for a second to think of the kids and wife, you feel warm in your heart. You are happy to be doing what you are, it's a form of service that you are made for. Ofcourse, there is home sickness...but then, you are man made for cuddles and adventure. The dichotomy of OB.
You imagine Aai trudging around vietnam. You know she is missing you to madness, but you are happy she is spending quality time with the boys, having adventures with them. You hope dnyanesh is peaceful with her.
OB, everything is fine with me. I am so blessed and grateful for a break and to see a culture so steeped in culture. I pray you see it too, and if you want to see it with me, I'll come back and be your guide;)
