Hey OB,
First time I've logged into a perfect round time figure. 12:00. Sounds so neat, defined, uncluttered.
Noon.
Snoozes, sheer curtains flying in the afternoon wafts, a cool glass of butter milk, a sleep that is so dense, all 8 hours of the night cannot compare!
Bliss!
But I'm getting ahead of myself. In reality I'm in a freezing cold robotic OT after finishing an entire morning at school for a function of antus. SoBo schools celebrate the graduation of the child from grade 5 (junior school) to middle school. SoBo moms come in coordinated pant-shirt sets with dark glasses perched on their blow dried hair dos. They give air kisses in the void and photograph only their own children as they come on stage. Fortunately they all wear water proof mascara so they can wipe away an emotional tear from a botoxed face with a gel nail.
Lord, save me from all this! It's disgusting. This is not the life I wanted my kids to lead. It's a freak show of another scale.
Anyway, antu was happy I went and he's a gentle soul:) I ran from there to ot, furiously apologising for being late.
How are you preparations going OB? Are you more settled? How does one apply for this? What is the organisation called? How do you get a visa etc?
Anyway, I can ask you everything on Sunday.
I guess you are landing on Akasa 12.10 flight? Means out by 12.40?
Let me know, I'll see you at main T2 arrivals. I'll be wearing a clown costume with a clip on nose. So if you see a clown, remember it's dhanwanti incognito ok?
I have a robot with abhi now, then have to do a home visit and then HSH.
Story about my cousin with DMD: she decided, with great grit and determination to have a child. They did an IUI and she carried her baby while she was already wheel chair bound. COVID hit. She was registered at Surya Hospital, and 32 weeks. At 36 weeks she was to be sectioned, because they couldn't risk her going into labour. The day before, surya had a COVID positive delivery and the BMC shut the hospital down. She called me up in a panic. She was to be now sectioned at my uncle Dr. Purandares nursing home at Chowpatty which is just the most unsafe place in the world. I was called to give anesthesia. I scoured the internet, there was no info on what is the preferred anesthetic with her subtype of MD. I called Tasneem Dhansura Maam who is my guru. She said I'll come to help you, but I don't know anything more than you do. I think she and I both prayed all night. Next day Surya reopened and Mithila continued as per original plan and had a section there! The spinal, ironically, took away the power in her upper limbs and she has never been able to carry her baby. Today baby Tara is 6 years old and sticks to her mum like a kangaroo Joey. I draped the mother and daughter in a razai yesterday (tara was running fever) and they were just so damn cuddly, i piled onto the group hug! Both are real dollies!!!
((Sometimes if you pray hard enough, the case gets done by someone else....phew;)))
What's your day like today?
You have much packing to do?
Aai
