Hey OB,
Q: How do you know you have reached Delhi?
A: when all the mundas are wearing coord sets. When the girls are better dressed than abu dhabi. When the gait changes to a "jaunt". When the perfume is so overbearingly strong, it comes through your nose, out your ears!
My first flight with AI ever. Lovely planes, excellent company. We got scattered seats so i wasnt with my designated survivors. Instead, met a girl from ahmedabad who was all of 29 years old, works with "transactions and blah blah" and missed her earlier flight because she slept in. Doesn't matter, boss said get on the later flight (8.30am). Bubble gum goes pop. Also met a junior from school who was transporting a rescue cat from Mumbai to Delhi, for an adoption. Antu said "so that's why I heard a meowing sound!!" The cat was sitting sweetly in a box under the seat.
Tried chatting with the boy next to me as well but he said "aunty, mujhe apna show dekhna hai." Oh well!
Now waiting at 15B gate to go on to Ho Chi Minh. Feeling very important all of a sudden, after clearing immigration.
How are you my good man? All ok? How are the cases?
I read a lovely phrase: what distinguishes a surgeon from a technician. The surgeon feels the weight of his decision behind the knife.
The anesthetist feels the weight of the whole world, but that's a different story right OB?
Missing you. But I'm trying not to. You have gone for such an amazing cause. I'm so so proud of you, every minute of every day.
