I'm doing the case of a surgeon I have never worked with before and don't like. Pravin Gore. He looks like dr. Gru, unethical and always late and disrespectful.
Yesterday evening when I was praying, a thought came to my mind. Every soul on this planet has a role and an importance: even thieves and crooks. It's imperative that thieves who are on their own complex karmic journey, thieve within the purview of thievery: drugs, arms, petty crime. If they get into fields like medicine, they become the most diabolical of people. I don't know if you know about the Harsha Mehta scam in the BSE in the 90's which shook the finances of the nation. He was a brilliant man, but with a deviant mind which played to twisting the system and exploiting loopholes. His actions caused many families to be reduced to beggars, overnight, many committed suicide. His real brother is Dr. Hitesh Mehta, an absolutely gifted surgeon and one of the pioneers of laparoscopy in western India. He is hailed by Muffi Lakdawala as his guru, and till date is a very competent surgeon. So just imagine, the same intelligence and dna, but channelised differently. But if Dr Hitesh Mehta was as devious as his brother, he would have been one of Mumbai's king pin unscrupulous doctors, who operate indiscriminately and RUIN patients lives. I don't like pravin gore for that reason. Anyway, only once. I'm doing this as a favour to another anesthetist. I won't say yes again.
