Life, and all that is in it.

Hey Aaiii,

Nice to read your post!

I saw a teenage girl, in school uniform sitting on the train opposite to me. She was reading Elif Shafak's Forty Rules of Love. It was nice seeing a young human reading a book. The last time I saw a young human read a book was outside the dialysis Hall of Paras Hospital. Makes me wonder - did you read the paper by Daron Acemoglu about a Civilisational Knowledge Collapse that is the inevitable outcome of ChatGPT, since we are going to have a generation that will not be inquisitive enough to step out of AI? I asked Daniyaal the same question - if ChatGPT was based on Principia, by Newton, and was teleported to 1707, would human scientific knowledge have increased? I guess, no.

We are financially suffering a lot - all Hospitals in J&K have huge pending dues with Ayushman to the tune of 293 crores, which is a lot - and today I signed a cheque that is going to take our hospital bank balance down to 30,000. (I need the bloody 35k I asked for last time to pay a bill, do you mind?) Just had a contingency discussion with the Hospital team - and etc.

No list for me today - one cystoscopy done and I am heading to the OPD and will try to finish quick and get on the train home. I didn't sleep well - I was awake from 2 am to 4 am, praying for peace in the Middle East. Allah says - that there is a special time just before the morning prayers when He listens to prayers - He says, He asks the question - Is there anyone asking for anything at this time. So I did that and I told Him, My Allah You say You listen at this time to prayers, so listen to mine today - me, a sinner, a fool, a weakling, indisciplined, and stupid, but still Yours, and forgive me. Ameen.

Have a nice day,
