Last day on the mission? I'm assuming you will be flying back soon.....looking forward to seeing you my good man!!
Last night very sweet friend Khushboo and her husband, and another friend Jignasa and her husband came for dinner. Khushboo is my neighbour in my old building, and during COVID when our fridge had died a sudden, irrevocable death, she had very very sweetly stored my eggs in her vegetarian fridge, uncomplainingly, till the lockdown lifted and I stood first in the line at Croma to buy a new one. I remember her saying, "the boys need them right? Then just keep them quietly with me." What a girl!
Jig is another such solid friend who has seen me through many motherhood dilemmas, because she was the only friend who had a baby before me, the rest being much later in joining the pack.
You are packing your five pairs of scrubs, tossing your toothbrush into the toilet kit. Saying your byes to friendships that will last a lifetime....you are eager to come home, to hold Saba and the kids firmly in your arms...to kiss your mom and hug your dad....to feel Jango's paws scratching against your waist. I pray you come back soon. I'm dying to hear your adventures. I hope you have taken 30000 photos, because you are getting to lead the life I can only envy!
