Life, and all that is in it.

Hey OB,

Good morning:) your lunch sounds like hard work, but there's nothing more satisfying than serving guests and revelling in the banter. I can see you doing it, your crinkly eyes, carefully and gently serving biryani with a flat spoon tapering at the end. "Bhaatacha chamcha" we call it. And if there is no "bhatacha chamcha" we literally not serve the rice. You lean over an old aunt who tells you she can't chew well without her dentures, so you carefully avoid giving her a piece of mutton. You catch sight of Saba on the opposite side of the room serving that row of guests, she is looking absolutely beautiful in a blue dress. She wonders why you are looking at her weirdly, but that's ok, you know you are the luckiest man on earth to have her. Daani blushes bashfully as the aunties comment on how handsome he is looking. He patiently runs between the kitchen and the table getting things. Hala is given lighter dish to carry and she is annoyed about that. She is actually stronger than her brothers, you see. As for little Wali, he's getting underfoot of his mother, who occassionally gives him a threatening glance. "Can I watch TV?" he takes a chance. "No!" she says emphatically. Your in laws are satisfied by the success and thank the Lord for their blessings. After all, that's all that we want in our old age: to be loved and cherished and cared for by the ones we love.

God Bless you my dearest OB and your family! I pray for you everyday, from the bottom of my heart.
