On train.
No aankho ka Tara today. Someone else, who is also on this train. :-).
I wanted surgery always.
After that, I wanted something to learn. It wasn't anything to do with the rank, I could have taken anything, but more to do with the lifestyle and possibility of working days, and no nights. Jaslok was a blessing!
Yes, I learnt to play the guitar while fighting depression in 2021-2022. I reached beginners level. I couldn't strum well, but I was reasonably good at finger-picking. I realised doing an online course is not the same thing as having a tutor. I would have loved to have one. I recorded some 'guitar poetry' in a studio. #dontask
Nice word - ghichpich.
We do the same in Kashmir - if there's an expression of love or hate or anger, it's best expressed in an Oriental language. Try Farsi! Or Turkish! But, having descended from the mother of all scientific languages (Latin), and being inherently analytical and cerebral, the words of love, hate, and anger, just don't come out in English. We have so many words of hate in Kashmiri! Ranging from, 'I will burn your bones to ashes,' to 'I pray a bolt of lighting with a flood of water fall upon your head in a particular quadrangular shape,' and 'God's wrath be upon you,' to another favourite, 'I will make you and seven generations of your descendants understand what I am saying.' Imagine an argument on Oxford Street and hearing these being said...
The patient is a post TURP patient I did on Saturday. He is still admitted and has fever - I withheld discharge and asked them to do the tests and change antibiotics for now. Fingers, toes and noses crossed! Insha Allah Khair.
Thank you for your prayers!
Have a lovely day!
Allah bless you and the family!
