Life, and all that is in it.

Hey OB,

Thank you for the AI reply. It actually assuaged my fears. You are right, we haven't forgotten the use of our legs with the advent cars, so all hope isn't lost.

I'll tell you a small incident. Some years back a famous composer Sir Karl Jenkins was having dinner with his wife in a restaurant in London. From the window of the restaurant, he saw a painting in the neighboring gallery and it cast a spell on him. He went close to the gallery window and made his wife jot down the artist's name. Next day a quick call went to the artist to purchase the painting. "Sir Karl Jenkins, are you?" Confirmed the artist. "Ye can 'av it for free." Sir Karl was puzzled. Why would he expect the painting for free. "Y'see, it's your's," explained the artist. "I painted it while listening to your music, so this is the 'rtistic representation of your emotions." This piece was his famous mass "Armed Mass for Peace" with several parts including an Azaan (call to prayer) and a benedictus.

Last night the choir and orchestra played the Benedictus. There was not a dry eye in the house. It was a prayer of 1500 people for peace. A prayer for better sense to prevail. A prayer for humans to not act as primal and savage as they are, and understand the refinement in the arts that transcend cultural and religious differences.

We must pray for peace. But we must also accept that man is blood thirsty, and unforgiving, and foolish. We can't change the nature of this animal. We must look within ourselves and find peace and love, because expecting it from other's is impossible. I wish I could hold your head in my arms and take away your internal pain. Accept what you cannot change.....
