We are being driven out of our own home. The impact of these words doesn't hit you till you think of generations before you that have faced the same thing. The Palestinians from Israel, the kashmiri pandits from Kashmir, the Hindus from Pakistan, the parsis from persia. It is a feeling like no other. Knowing that you are up against a power so mighty that it just orders you to leave. The neighbours are insisting that antus practice disturbs them. Inexorably. So terribly that their mother in law's cancer might return, their daughter might fail exams, their 95 year old grandmother might die. It's so bad that they have asked for an FIR to be lodged at the police station. Not just against dnyanesh and me, but against antu too! It takes an insane person to go to such lengths, and against this terrible insanity we have decided to protect our sanity and move back to mount unique. Can I be honest and say I'm delighted by the move? I love the fact that I'll be closer to my parents, the kids will be closer to school, and I'll be closer to all my hospitals! I'm looking forward to coastal road walks, cycling, meeting my folks more, and the kids once again playing at woodlands. I frankly can't see any merit to staying at PG when we use the clubs more than the building in terms of amenities, and where the place of residence is feeling like a place of exile.
