CAI
Hey OB,
No, this isn't a misprint. It's not CIA:) Citizen's Archive of India is an oral history archive of octa and nonagenarians and their memories and memorabilia of a forgotten time. They had an exhibition where there were some beautiful artifacts: old telephones, telegraphs.

Dnyanesh was invited to do a mural for them, so we particularly wanted to see that.
Some of the interviews were so moving!
This girl was a member of the Indian National Army under Bose. He came to visit her in hospital when she was 16, admitted with her leg shot. He told her "don't look back for even a second, till we have azaadi." Why is she in a ghaghra choli? Their uniforms had been sent for stitching!

An old passport:)

This is my great grandfather who made it to the archive, when my Aja was interviewed five years ago:)
I love history. Diving and experiencing everyone's lives, making them matter, making them immortal. We live on through our children and grandchildren who will tell tales of us, good and bad, and long after we are fossil fuels, our memories will sink into perpetuity. Or forgotten!
How was your lunch? Did you have fun?
I had a tough day today. Lots of inner searching.
