Life, and all that is in it.

Thank you for your letter dated, 5.5.26.

  1. There are 8 billion, not 6 billion people on earth. The matter within their bodies always existed on earth, the new humans just used up more of it, e.g., we are farming on more land, we are consuming more seafood, we are herding more cattle. The increase in number of people alive is in no way a proof of increase in matter.

  2. These are beliefs. Beliefs may or may nor contradict current scientific knowledge. Neither is exclusionary. I may believe something which is totally irrelevant scientifically, but over a few years, the science develops and my belief is proven correct.

  3. Exactly the point I mentioned above. Science is in motion.

  4. Yes, we all have existed in another time, and will exist in another time. The soul is indestructible. It can be placed in a state of suspended animation, but will be 'resurrected.'

  5. Very well said. Seeing (or using any other faculty) is believing. However, there are many things we know, we are sure of, but we cannot measure or quantify, or 'see.' Love? Hate? Emotions? Pleasure? The fact that we cannot measure the love of a mother for her son does not mean it does not exist. Yes, we can 'see' what the mother does for her son, and infer that she 'loves' her son because of what she does, but can we measure love? Compare love? Or have an annual mother-son love contest where all mothers get up on the love-scale and bang a hammer on a circle to see how high the love-scale will go?

  6. Very well said. We are all ants in this world. Each worker ant working in its own way, contributing to the colony, but oblivious to its own existence. Therein comes religion, to add meaning to life. After all, what is the purpose of human life, if only to perpetuate the life-cycle and become dust again?

  7. Sometimes seconds feel like days. The operative word, 'feel.' No matter what we say or do, time moves. Time did not stop for anyone. Amen. Even if we perceive time to stop, or stand still, it does not.

If time travel were possible, how would we age? Who would die? If time travel were possible, does time travel through us, or do we travel through time? If time travel is possible, we are following TWO time scales at the same time - one internal, and one external. One is for the body that travels through time, one is for the time period that the body is in. Confused?

Also - it is not possible for the same matter to be in two different places at the same time.
